This is a Journey Campground and you would not know it from the large spacious sites. There is grass here, can you believe it, grass real grass. Your parking area is level and nice stone. The good stone is unlike others that seem to like lava rock and stone so large you can twist an ankle. This Journey needs to have a 10 star rating. The staff Mark, Deb and Sophie the Yorkie are extremely nice and considerate of a campers needs. i believe this could be a Holiday campground with very little effort. We have traveled from DelaWhere to Yellowstone and are on our way back and I can say this is one of the better and maybe the best Journey we have had the pleasure to stay at. Thank you WaKeeney KOA.

It was truly an Amazing experience! Fantastic place to have a picnic and a place for your dogs to enjoy a quick run about or a walk and the area is beautiful and the surrounding views away from the streets is so wonderful!!! Definitely going back!!

We received 5 star treatment from the owners of WaKeeney KOA. Shortly after we arrived at the campground our satellite antenna froze halfway during deployment. The owners provided both tools and technical support so that we could get the antenna into a position enabling us to travel safely the next day.

Clean park, laundry and bath/showers, level spots, ice cream social every night. Great place for a 1 night or a couple of days to rest off of I70, and a fantastic restaurant a short walk away to get an amazing steak dinner
